  • Koenig & Bauer AG's (KBA) supervisory board has appointed a new CFO, Axel Kaufmann, effective October 1, 2010. “While the creation of the new post was prompted by the growing complexity of financial processes and regulations,” KBA reports, “it will also allow president and CEO Helge Hansen to focus more intensely on the group's strategic realignment.” Kaufmann's experience includes playing an instrumental role in restructuring operations, implementing corporate alliances, mergers, acquisitions / divestments, and streamlining business infrastructures, qualities KBA cites as “valuable experience for his new position at KBA.”
  • Chris Lyons has joined Kodak as global segment director to oversee activity in six primary segments of the graphic arts industry: commercial print, publishing, packaging, data-driven printing, enterprise and photo products. Within these segments, Lyons is responsible for maximizing investments in marketing, advertising, messaging, and online activity around the world.
  • San Diego-based LAK Advertising, Inc., along with sister company VDP Direct, welcomes Mike Chiricuzio as its new vice president of operations, bringing with him >30 years' experience in all aspects of the graphic communications industry.
  • Sun Chemical (Parsippany, NJ) has named Charles Murray president, North American Inks. Murray replaces Brian Leen, who is leaving the graphic arts industry after an 18-year career at Sun Chemical.
  • Baltimore-based Victor Graphics, Inc. has hired Dominick Petrellese as a new NY / NJ salesperson. Dominick comes to Victor Graphics with an extensive background in production, manufacturing and sales.
  • Niles, IL-based direct mail printer Johnson & Quin has appointed Michael Hock as senior account executive for the Northeast.
