Agfa Graphics' (Ridgefield Park, NJ) new :Anapurna M2 UV inkjet wide-format printer features new standard enhancements for heavy-duty industrial applications. A vacuum strength control system was designed for smooth substrate transport at high speeds. Shuttle safety sensors protect the printheads in case of variable substrate height, and an ionizing bar prevents electrostatic loads on the substrate to ensure optimum ink droplet positioning.

The :Anapurna M2; it is designed to cope with peak production and high volume workloads. Its more powerful fastscan motor drives a shuttle with six printheads of 1,024 nozzles each. It handles roll-to-roll media as well as rigids. It accepts a maximum media width of 62 inches and uses the latest Konica Minolta 12-picoliter printheads offering 720 × 1,440-dpi output. Maximum productivity is achieved in 4 pass bidirectional mode and results in an output of approximately 23 sq.m/hr.
