COLOR INK ADDS DIGITAL IMAGING DEPARTMENT

Color Ink, Inc. (Sussex, WI) has invested a reported $1.6 million to grow its prepress, bindery and mailing fulfillment operations and add a digital imaging department. The digital imaging department, headed by John Zamorskio, includes a digital photography studio that will interface with other departments to offer customers on-site approvals, color corrections, proofs and complete image files on CD to take along.

  • Ferag Americas (Bristol, PA) has named Andrew J. Vecchione president and CEO. Joseph Basara has been named president and CEO, and Dennis Reilly has been named vice president of marketing and business development of WRH Marketing Americas, Ferag's parent company.
  • Jeff Goldberg has joined the Richwood, KY-based outside sales staff at Roosevelt Paper Co. (Mt. Laurel, NJ). He will work with customers in South Florida.
  • Paxonix (New York City) has appointed James R. Chambers, CEO, and Patrick C. Cummings, vice president of global sales.
  • SCP Commercial Printing, Inc. (Boca Raton, FL) has appointed Mary Harris, president.
  • Paperloop (San Francisco) has named Cyndi Ratcliff, vice president of publications; Jay Bursky, publisher of directories and books; and Les Kruger, associate publisher of newsletters.
  • R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. (Chicago) has named Stephen D. Lalonde, senior vice president of marketing, and Mark A. Kopelman, vice president of strategic pricing and planning, for its $2 billion commercial print business.
  • Dr. Joel S. Birnbaum has been appointed to Indigo NV's (Maastricht, Netherlands) board of directors. Birnbaum is currently special technical assistant to Carly Fiorina, CEO, president and chairman of Hewlett-Packard.
