The Assn. of Graphics Solutions Providers, formerly IPA (Edina, MN), has named Clarence W. Schawk, founder and chairman of graphic service provider Schawk, Inc. (Des Plaines, IL), recipient of its Leonard Holzinger Award. The award is bestowed to an industry professional who has helped move the industry and its trade group forward. Schawk's contribution to the association stretches from his early tenure as chairman of the membership committee to his later service as co-chair of the management committee. The timing of the award coincides with the 50th anniversary of Schawk, Inc., which was founded in 1953 as Schawk Litho Plate.
