Van Wert named 2003 Soderstrom honoree

The Soderstrom Society of NAPL (Paramus, NJ) has named former NAPL president I. Gregg Van Wert recipient of its 43rd annual Walter E. Soderstrom Award. Van Wert is currently principal of The Haven Group and an american printer columnist. Named for the late Walter E. Soderstrom, one of the founders of NAPL, the award has been bestowed annually since 1961 to a distinguished individual who has contributed significantly to the development and progress of the printing industry. The recipient is selected by fellow members of the Soderstrom Society, an industry honors organization.

Van Wert joined NAPL in 1973 as director of communications. He became executive vice president and COO in 1982, and was president and CEO from 1991 until his retirement in 2002. A recipient of numerous industry honors, he will accept his latest award at the annual Soderstrom Society dinner during Graph Expo.
