Xeikon (Itasca, IL), has installed an IntelliStream 3.6 front-end at RIT's School of Print Media (Rochester, NY). The IntelliStream front-end is a gift to RIT and will expand the capabilities of the school's DCP 50 D. The Xeikon digital-printing system at RIT is being used for student education and research, as well as professional development and substrate testing.

IntelliStream 3.6 was introduced at On Demand 2003 and features a faster Adobe CPSI 3016 RIP, direct support for PPML/VDX, and improved management for PPML-defined global objects. The new Calibrator allows for real-time adjustment of calibration and dot-gain curves during printing. Users can import custom ICC input and output profiles for color conversions.
