Speaking before House Congressional staffers, this week, Ken
Garner, president and CEO of the Mailing and Fulfillment Service
Association (MFSA) said, “Our industry has members
located in nearly every congressional district and employs more
than 25,000 employees. We are a significant part of an industry
valued at $1 trillion, employing more than 7 million workers. MFSA
represents the ‘heart’ of the mailing community as we
print, prepare, and process mail.”
Part of Garner’s testimony to the more than 50 Congressional staff members at the Rayburn House Office Building affirmed the importance of sustaining a healthy USPS now and in the future and to ensure the delivery of hard copy mail to every resident and business in America.
MFSA was one of five organizations invited to speak before the Congressional staff. The other attendees who participated on the panel were the American Catalog Mailers Assn., International Paper, National Newspaper Assn., and Time Inc. This was one of four scheduled congressional briefings organized by the Coalition for a 21st Century Postal Service, an organization comprised of 21 member companies.
MFSA is the national trade association for the mailing and fulfillment services industry. For more than 90 years MFSA has been working to improve the business environment for mailing and fulfillment companies and to provide learning and professional development of the managers of these companies.
