HP (Palo Alto, CA) has awarded the "HP Graphics Solutions Partner Silver" certificate to Dresden-based KAMA GmbH. The focus of the companies’ cooperation is on the automatic diecutter KAMA ProCut 53, for the 530 x 400 mm format. It is directly compatible with the digital printing machines HP Indigo 5500, 7500 and WS 6000.
The ProCut 53 was first introduced at drupa 2008. In addition to the base functions, such as diecutting, creasing, cold embossing and Braille, it offers precise finishing for hot foil stamping and hologram application. Changeover from hot foil stamping to die cutting takes only 5 to 10 minutes.
At IPEX, KAMA presented software for the ProFold 74 folder-gluer. This interactive program is intended to speed up the changeover process and archive orders for folding, gluing as well as detailing all setup information. In case of repetition, the proven configuration can be precisely reproduced on the grid-type mounting system. A calculation module determines the machine running time and the production costs of the respective order.
