With predictions pointing to 10-15% of books being printed digitally within the next 3-5 years, Muller Martini reports there is no better time for printers and binderies to take a closer look at the type of technology that will make that prediction not only possible, but also profitable. During Graph Expo, Scalable SigmaLine technology will be producing books using various styles of book blocks (cut sheet and signatures).
Citing the debut of the News Print pavilion at Graph Expo 2010 as an ideal venue, the Muller Martini (MMA) Users Group announces it will hold its users group meeting in Chicago in conjunction with the show. The MMA Users Group meeting will take place on Saturday, October 2, and Sunday, October 3.
The MMA Users Group has been meeting for more than 20 years to allow postpress professionals in newspaper and print production to share their experiences with machines and technology and enjoy direct access to Muller Martini executives to learn about the latest equipment upgrades and add-ons. Meetings have typically attracted more than 100 participating members. This year's meeting will allow for similar networking and learning opportunities as in the past, and will cover topics such as maximizing equipment use and efficiency, prolonging equipment life, and identifying the best newspaper and commercial packaging opportunities.
