Fujifilm (Valhalla, NY) announces that effective immediately, Fujifilm Canada Inc. has joined Fujifilm North America Corp. as a subsidiary of the company. Fujifilm North America was established on January 1, 2010, merging Fujifilm U.S.A., Inc. and Fujifilm Graphic Systems U.S.A., Inc. The addition of the Canadian subsidiary will support Fujifilm’s objectives of building a stronger presence in the North American markets and in realizing greater collaboration among businesses.

"Globally Fujifilm announced last year that during 2010, the company would align its organization by region in Europe, North America, China and Asia," says president and CEO Ryutaro Hosoda. "This move will continue to position us more strongly to serve our customers in the North American region even more effectively and efficiently." Hosoda also serves as president of Fujifilm Holdings America Corp.

Fujifilm Canada is based in Mississauga, Ontario, with regional offices in Montreal and Vancouver.
