Today at the IPEX Media Summit, Xerox Corp. demonstrated its leadership in the global digital production print market by announcing several new deals with customers using Xerox technology and services to boost their bottom lines. The company also shared a preview of IPEX announcements, including news about Xerox’s first production inkjet system.
“The strategy behind adding inkjet to the Xerox portfolio is comparable to how automobile manufacturers offer cars powered by gas, diesel or electricity – each meets a different performance standard,” said Eric Armour, president, Global Business Group, Xerox. “We delivered breakthrough toner-based color continuous feed solutions allowing new levels of cost, image quality and speed for transpromotional applications. Our new offering will meet similar requirements for those looking for an inkjet option.”
At IPEX, the company will also show enhancements to the Xerox 650/1300 Continuous Feed Printing Systems, toner-based monochrome devices. These include heavy-weight media compatibility, running duplex applications up to 200 gsm and the FreeFlow Print Server 7 and ImageSmooth Technology, delivering unmatched image quality without slowing down the printer.
In its Real Business Live! Theater, presentations will cover topics such as profit generating print jobs, increasing automation and 1:1 marketing. These business relevant discussions will combine industry expertise and application demonstrations.
The XMPie Innovation Showcase, which debuted at Print 09, has been enhanced for IPEX. Attendees will have the opportunity to personally interact with an XMPie-driven cross-media campaign – complete with a customized postcard, e-mail message, Response URL (RURL) Web site, Google Map, PayPal transaction, mobile message and fulfillment offering.
Xerox will also sponsor its Best-of-the-Best contest at IPEX, open to members of its Graphic Arts Premier Partners Program. Contestants that demonstrate the best digital print applications – with exceptional image quality and tangible business results – will receive awards during the show.
Xerox’s booth at IPEX 2010 will be located in hall 7, stand 7-CD450, May 18-25 in Birmingham, U.K.
