The commercial print shop was the first worldwide to install the new press, which delivers up to 50% more impressions per page with a 14.33 x 26-inch sheet size.
“The larger sheet size and exceptional print quality allowed us to immediately tap new customers looking for high-impact, custom materials. It also gave our existing offset customers a way to supplement their longer runs with smaller, personalized jobs,” says Rusty Coolidge, president, Chroma Graphics. “This new technology is driving 25% growth in our overall print business.”
Using the iGen4 EXP press and uDirect software from XMPie, a Xerox company, Chroma Graphics is producing customized direct mail pieces ranging from 18,000 personalized book offers for a university to a smaller run of customized postcards to advertise discounts for active casino gamblers. With the press and software in place, the company is eyeing new business opportunities in the healthcare market, where personalized patient information is critical to marketing efforts.
