InfoPrint to debut new products at IPEX

InfoPrint has unveiled several new solutions as it prepares to exhibit at Ipex 2010 in stand 12-D130, May 18-25 in Birmingham, England. InfoPrint Solutions also will reveal its new branding and logo as it becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh Company Ltd. on July 1, 2010.

InfoPrint Solutions will be part of Ricoh’s 1,400 sq.m stand in Hall 12, featuring:

  • The new InfoPrint 5000 MP with monochrome inkjet and MICR suppor.
  • New models of the InfoPrint 4100 continuous form laser – high-volume digital publishing and transactional production output solution.
  • The latest InfoPrint ProcessDirector (IPPD), Automated Document Factory (ADF) and InfoPrint Manager workflow.
  • Examples of Precision Marketing and Workflow solutions from UK customers Transactis and dsicmm.
  • InfoPrint 5000  continuous forms color inkjet.
  • InfoPrint Pro C900 AFP cutsheet printing for data centers.
  • InfoPrint 100 continuous forms, low-cost compact laser printer.

The new InfoPrint 5000 MP platform adds monochrome and MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) inkjet printing to the color InfoPrint 5000 family and is designed to help customers easily transition to color as their needs evolve. It is compatible with existing full-color InfoPrint 5000 models, and provides customers with investment protection through its flexible, modular design and three speed points supporting low, medium and high-volume printing.

At IPEX, InfoPrint Solutions will show how the flexibility of an InfoPrint 5000 and InfoPrint workflow environment allows Shop Direct Group to personalize and quickly change customer offers. For instance, according to customer type and business need, seasonal offers, credit terms or service messages can be added to all statements. By merging overdue and arrears letters with statements, Shop Direct Group’s printing costs have been reduced while eliminating pre-printed stationary and cutting paper and postage costs.

InfoPrint Solutions will also show how print and direct mail provider dsicmm redesigned a client’s investor reporting to be personalized, more, relevant, more concise and engaging. In the process, dsicmm stripped more than 40 tonnes of paper out of each biannual investor update print run.
