Carl Joachim, Ricoh's (West Caldwell, NJ) vice president marketing, offered an update on the Ricoh Pro C900 which debuted in 2008. The digital color printer offers large production capacity and high productivity with speeds up to 90 ppm in full color and extensive inline finishing. It incorporates Trained Customer Replaceable Units and includes the latest Ricoh image processing technology. Front-end options now include the EFI Fiery QX100 and the Creo Color Controller C-80.
Joachim detailed C900 installations at an insurance company, a luxury builder's inplant and Premium Color Graphics (Clifton, NJ). At PRINT 09, four Ricoh lines will simulate inplant, CRD, quick print and commercial print environments. On the monochrome side, Ricoh will feature the Pro 907 EX, Pro 1137 EX, and Pro 1357 EX. Joachim couldn't share all of Ricoh's show news, so look for additional announcements in September.
