“With the introduction of the Truepress Jet520EX and the Truepress Jet520ZZ, Screen has expanded the level of choice in its own product line as well as in those offered through its partner, Ricoh/InfoPrint Solutions,” InfoTrends noted in an October 2010 white paper. “The increased speed (up to 220 meters per minute/721 fpm) and broader width (up to 570 millimeters/22.4 inches) of the Truepress Jet520ZZ expand the application set and improve overall productivity. The Truepress Jet520EX provides a modular offering in monochrome or four-color configurations.”
Among the report's conclusions: “The expansion of the Truepress Jet520 product family is another example of how Screen has evolved the company and taken a new focus that builds on inkjet technology. [T]hey have made a remarkable transition with the development of new inkjet products, and, in the case of the Truepress Jet520…expanded their market reach beyond commercial print markets, their traditional stronghold.”
More than 200 presses have been installed worldwide since the Trupress Jet520 became commercially available in 2006.
