For outstanding efforts to reduce waste and protect the environment, Naples, FL-based Intech Printing & Direct Mail has been named a winner in the 2009 Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) sponsored by the Collier County Waste Management Board –– Florida’s leading authority on recycling and waste reduction. Patricia Wacker, Moe Zimmerman and Michelle Derk accepted the award on behalf of Intech.
The WRAP awards honor businesses for cutting the amount of trash they produce, conserving resources and reducing waste disposal in landfills. Examples of qualifying strategies include, but are not limited to, partnering with another agency to reuse waste materials, increasing capture of recyclable materials from zero to 100%, and incorporating innovative methods of collection and/or processing of recyclable materials.
