Print Tech’s (Mountainside, NJ) environmental efforts have been recognized in the category of Pollution Prevention by NJBiz Magazine’s inaugural “NJBiz Green Leadership Awards.” The awards honor and celebrate New Jersey businesses for their environmental achievements and initiatives.
“Print Tech has been concerned with the environmental impact of printed materials for a long time,” says CEO Russell Evans. “As a result, Print Tech pursues a proactive green strategy based on the simple axiom of reduce, reuse and recycle.”
Print Tech became Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified in 2008 and uses vegetable-based inks that do not contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Its digital presses use non-toxic toners.
Dan Schulz, Print Tech CFO/partner, adds, “We collect and recycle approximately 70 tons of paper a year which include all of our office paper and printing waste. Our employees have been enthusiastic about getting behind our green agenda, not for the awards or recognition, but because it is what we all believe is in the best interest of our environment.”
