Dayton, OH, printer Think Patented has been honored by two major industry associations for its printing and management excellence. The company received more than a dozen awards, including “Best of Region,” from the Printing Industries of Ohio/Northern Kentucky, for excellence in print production. It also received a NAPL Management Plus Gold Award for overall management best practices and two NAPL Marketing Plus Gold and one Silver Award for excellence in marketing.

The company also has been named a  G7 Master Printer, qualified under the IDEAlliance to use the G7 Proof-to-Print Process and produce proofs or print to G7 standards. The designation also certifies that the company operates at the top of its class by using the most modern technology, process controls, and highest standards to produce the best quality achievable in commercial printed products and assure a match from proof to print.

“The awards from our industry’s leading associations continue to show that Think Patented is truly a forward looking company with a customer centric DNA in constant pursuit of operational excellence” says Niels M. Winther, chairman of the board and managing partner, Think Patented. “We are incredibly pleased to be recognized by our peers in the industry for our client work and the operations of our company.”

NAPL Awards Think Patented is one of only three companies in the nation to receive the Management Plus Gold Award, which was presented at NAPL’s recent Top Management Conference in Marco Island, FL. Management Plus entrants are judged on how they perform against industry standards in seven key management areas: leadership and governance, human resources, strategic planning, marketing and sales, operations, community/industry relations, and financial performance. Entries are based on the NAPL Management Plus Best Practices Assessment, a diagnostic tool that printing companies can use to compare their own management performance against accepted standards.

“To continue to serve our clients with world-class production and services, we must use the industry’s best practices in our operations and understand and apply the latest industry technology,” says Kenneth O. McNerney, CEO and managing partner, Think Patented. “We are extremely honored to have been selected as a Management Plus Gold recipient and a multiple award-winner in this year’s competition. It is truly a company-wide honor that recognizes all of our employees.”
