GRAPH EXPO ORDERS EXCEED $150 MILLION

April 2, 2014

With more than 46,000 Graph Expo attendees, Heidelberg received orders in excess of $150 million. "This has been an extremely strong show, even after a very successful Drupa," says Niels M. Winther, president and CEO of Heidelberg USA.

Heidelberg debuted new products to the North America market like NexPress 2100. NexPress four-color digital press is a joint venture between Heidelberg and Kodak.

Heidelberg also spotlighted its Prinect modular workflow that integrates existing and newly developed control devices along the production chain. Prinect is the "glue that holds together all of the production solutions Heidelberg demonstrated at Graph Expo," explains Ernst Bischoff, director of Prinect electronic solutions.

Heidelberg's bindery systems were a big hit at the show. "We sold more than we expected for the whole show in the first two days," says Winther. Standouts included the ST 270 and ST 90 stitchers. The Pacesetter 870 stitcher also was a main attraction.
