Toronto printer installs North America’s first Agfa :M-Press Tiger

Agfa Graphics (Ridgefield Park, NJ) announces Toronto-based screen printer Cameron Advertising Displays Ltd. has invested in the first :M Press Tiger in North America. Cameron is more than 60 years old and boasts annual sales exceeding 10 million dollars.

According to Cameron vice president Reid Mason, "With the :M-Press Tiger, we have the fastest system on the market. And, we will be able to produce higher print quality with improved productivity. Overall, this just makes good business sense for Cameron Advertising Displays Ltd. as the system meets our aggressive quality and ROI requirements." Cameron Advertising Displays Ltd. is set to install the :M-Press Tiger in the second quarter of 2010.

At Print 09 in Chicago, Agfa Graphics announced major improvements to the :M-Press system resulting in higher printing speeds and better output quality. The :M-Press Tiger can print 17,000 ft./hr., which is three times faster than its predecessor. This high-speed flatbed inkjet press, codeveloped by Thieme and Agfa, features new printhead technology, auto head positioning and tuning.
