Buhrs Americas (Minneapolis) has named Bow D. Smith national service manager. Smith joined Buhrs Americas after more than ten years with inTelmail USA.


A PRIMIR (Reston, VA) study, “Trends in Inkjet Technologies,” reviews inkjet technologies and addresses growth trends and forecasts for adoption of inkjet technologies in selected markets through 2011.


PIA/GATF's Digital Printing Council has published “Inkjet!” Written by RIT's Frank Romano, the book covers inkjet's history, technology and trends. Chapters on specific industry segments include wide-format, industrial, packaging and transpromo.


Graph Expo's Mailing & Fulfillment Center will occupy a record 38,900 sq. ft. of the show floor and feature 73 exhibitors The show takes place October 26-29 in Chicago — see more show news in AMERICAN PRINTER's October issue.


Get your degree at BBH University

Bowe Bell and Howell's (Durham, NC) BBH University, provides technical training, business training, and management and leadership training. According to Training magazine, it is one of the top employer-sponsored workforce education programs in the United States. BBH University expects to provide 47,000 hours of training in 2008, working both with BBH technicians and customers.

In other company news, Bowe Bell and Howell announced a service and support agreement with Buskro Ltd. (Toronto) to provide Buskro with expanded service coverage through BBH Services. The BBH Services team will be fully trained on the Buskro inkjet product line by Oct. 1, 2008.

Rena inks deal with FP Mailing Solutions

Rena Systems (Oaks, PA) has signed an agreement to provide FP Mailing Solutions (Addison, IL) with a select line of inkjet addressing systems, labelers, tabbers, accessories, and supplies. Rena Systems offers a comprehensive family of high-speed printers powered by HP thermal inkjet technology. All Rena Systems products are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the United States.
