Acquisition positions The Allied Group as one of the largest commercial printers in Rhode Island
Cranston, RI—April 9, 2012---The Allied Group www.thealliedgrp.com a leading marketing communications and fulfillment services company based in Cranston, Rhode Island, announced today the acquisition of United Printing, a full-service, commercial printer based in Warwick, Rhode Island.
United Printing, a successful family owned and operated business led by President and CEO Raymond Amore and Vice President Barbara Caminito, has been a leading full-service, commercial printer offering sheet-fed printing and mailing for close to 70 years.
“We saw an excellent opportunity to join forces with another well-known and well-respected printer,” commented Robert C. United Printing is The Allied Group’s sixth acquisition since 2000. With this most recent acquisition, The Allied Group anticipates that its annual sales will top $22 million in 2012 and that the company will include 160 employees.
As a result of the acquisition, The Allied Group will add numerous new clients to its customer base as well as a large percentage of existing United Printing employees.
