Brown Printing Co. (Waseca, MN) has made a donation in honor of each of its clients to The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees Campaign.

“Brown’s environmental responsibility requires us to constantly be on the lookout for new ways to reduce our impact on our world,” says Jill Tobin, director of marketing and strategy.

These initiatives include the receipt of Forest Stewardship Council and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative chain-of-custody certifications. These globally recognized and accepted certifications allow Brown’s customers to choose certified paper for all of their printed materials. Brown is also proud to be an industry leader and early adopter of Virtual Proofing. Virtual Proofing is now offered on each and every press at Brown, eliminating the need for paper proofs and reducing emissions incurred while shipping. Brown’s state of the art co-mailing combines shipments creating full trucks, resulting in fewer trips and reduced emissions.
