That’s why the Printing Industries Assn. of Southern CA (PIASC) (Los Angeles) Self-Promotion & Marketing 2001 Competition includes a "First Contact" category.

Receptionists and customer service reps (CSRs) are singled out for their friendly tone, patience and helpfulness, company knowledge, verbal skills and efficiency.

Linda Hammel, a receptionist at Ultra-Graphics Inc took home the Gold Award; while Kimberly Jackson of Wieser Litho claimed top honors among CSR contestants.
