PapiNet NA, the new group coordinating the involvement of North
American pulp, paper and paperboard producers and customers in the
PapiNet e-business standard, announced the selection of chairs
following its first steering committee meeting.
Dan O’Brien, senior vice president, paper operation,
Quebecor World was elected chairman. John Balboni, vice president
of E-business, International Paper Co., was elected vice
PapiNet NA is a joint effort of the American Forest & Paper
Assn. (Washington, DC) and the Graphic Communications Assn.
(Alexandria, VA). Membership is open to North American
manufacturers of paper and wood products, distributors, converters,
printers, publishers, cataloguers and other customers/suppliers to
the industry. The development of the PapiNet standard is a joint
effort between PapiNet NA and The European Paper
