Toronto-based book printer Webcom (www.webcomlink.com) is scheduled to
install Canada's first HP (www.hp.com) T300 Color Inkjet Web Press
next week. The Oct. 4 installation will be the centerpiece of
Webcom's new multi-million-dollar BookFWD production program. The
company has also installed an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press as part
of its BookFWD operation.
BookFWD will help transform the way Webcom's publishing customers print and manage the distribution of books, directories and catalogs.
"Webcom's BookFWD investments leverage breakthrough inkjet technologies, streamlined workflow and unique bookbinding systems to significantly reduce the costs associated with printed books," says Webcom president Mike Collinge. "Inventory, distribution and production costs can all be reduced."
