Flint Group (Plymouth, MI) has announced price increases on heatset & directory products sold in the United States and Canada. The group reports ongoing raw material trends, including supply shortages, have pushed up the price of pigments, resins and other intermediates used in the manufacture of heatset & directory inks in North America.
Prices will increase by 6% on inks and overprint varnishes, effective July 1, 2010, subject to existing contracts.
“Flint Group works very hard to shield customers from the impact of raw material trends,” says Michael Podd, business director, Heatset Inks, North America, “but the recent level of activity makes it impossible for us to absorb the effects completely.”
