Masterpiece Graphix (MGX), a digital material manufacturer and treatment center, is offering a heat transfer sheet material that has been certified by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) to run on the HP Indigo sheet press series. Masterpiece Premium Heat Transfer Sheets for Light Fabrics (MGX-1471) has been RIT-Certified for use on the HP Indigo 5000/5500 and the HP Indigo 7000.

Masterpiece Premium Heat Transfer Sheets for Light Fabrics work best on cotton, or cotton/polyester blend white or light-colored fabrics with a tight weave. The transfer is very durable, with excellent color density lasting at least 15-20 wash cycles.  Applications include T-shirts, tote bags, pillowcases, ribbon, and other custom fabric goods.

First the graphic is digitally printed as a mirror image on the non-glossy, unlined side of the material. Any unprinted paper is trimmed off of the printed graphic before application, so that only the graphic is transferred to the garment. A heat press set at 375°F with a high pressure setting (60 psi) is recommended for the best transfer results.
