Agfa Graphics will demonstrate at Ipex 2010 that commercial printers using :ThermoFuse-based digital plates from Agfa can produce high-quality print on their sheetfed presses. Agfa’s new :Antura fountain solution additive, :Antura fount AFS1, can be used with Agfa’s chemistry-free digital plates, yielding high quality print with better treatment of the environment.

:Antura Founts allow printers with sheetfed presses to make environmentally-friendly printing easy without installing new equipment. Simply adding the Fogra-approved fountain solution :Antura into the printing process, combined with chemistry-free platemaking with ThermoFuse-based plates, results in safer, more environmentally-friendly, alcohol-free printing. The reduction in alcohol usage means fewer hazardous chemicals necessary to store and the elimination of VOC's on the press, giving press operators safer working conditions.
