Freeport Press, a leader in heatset web offset printing for magazines, digests, tabloids and catalogs, has expanded its partnership with EFI to offer its contract customers complimentary licenses to Proteus publication-planning software.
Publishers contending with positioning conflicts, late ads, fluctuating page counts and pagination systems can use Proteus to respond to last-minute changes like these, saving money, improving production efficiency and gaining greater control over the finished publication. The program offers drag-and-drop functionality and features such as built-in conflict checking, multiple tools for managing editorial content, fully customizable reports and repagination on the fly.
“With more and more of our customers looking for ways to streamline their workflows and drive errors out of the process at the same time, this is a great investment for us to make,” says David P. Pilcher, Freeport’s vice president of sales and marketing.
